FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is there a fee for the program? 

Absolutely not. The program is free to all program participants. Funding from various sources covers the cost of programming and the help of our volunteers makes all of these amazing opportunities available to kids across the district free of charge. 

How can I sign my child up for program? 

At this point in time we accept up to 30 students at each of our school sites. These spots are decided upon by teachers who make referrals or suggestions about what students might benefit most. Some schools also leave spots open for more first come, first serve basis. We leave it up to the schools to provide us a list of students who will participate for the semester. 

Are there any requirements for volunteers? 

All volunteers must have all clearances required in Pennsylvania in order to run a program. This includes any staff or interns as well. This includes the PA child abuse clearance, a state background check, and if you have lived out of the state at all in the last ten years, an FBI fingerprint clearance. The Partnership will help walk you through all of the steps to get these completed if you don't have them from a previous volunteer or employment position to keep things as simple as possible!
