How we do that...
We build networks across the community to find:
Individuals from the community willing to build a program of their own to run once a week across an 8 week span
Local community groups already offering programs (boy scouts/girl scouts, 4H, church groups, etc.)
And local instructors who will come teach classes
To bring them all together under one roof to offer our kids a thriving network of caring grown-ups to see, hear, get to know and Inspire them.
Community groups who will do a one day prevention, conservation, or recreation education presentation
What we do....
Community Care Initiative works to build collaborations between
Area Schools
Local Youth Organizations
Community Helpers
to bring recreation programs to our kids, where they are.
Because whole kids, are happy- connected- curious kids.

(Summer Approach)
Every child deserves a summer that is safe, fun, and full of connection and care. Which is why Fit For Life is working to grow healthy, happy kids!

It focuses on building heathy lifestyle habits through active programming, nutrition education, and teaching refusal skills in a safe environment with positive role models for youth between kindergarten and 6th grade.
The program runs from 12:30-2:30, Monday through Friday, for 9 weeks (June-August) in conjunction with summer feeding sites through a separate self-sustaining program run through Northern Tioga School District, and as a weekly presenter for Partners In Progress summer camp.
